Stefan Wegener joins the Sunrise management board

Stefan Wegener is joining the Sunrise management with immediate effect to take over the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO) ad interim. He will have responsibility for the entire IT division. Since 2008, Stefan Wegener, 47, has been a Managing Director at CVC, the owner of Sunrise. Prior to that, he held various executive positions at the Flint Group and BASF. Stefan Wegener succeeds Kamran Ziaee, former Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and member of the management board in charge of the IT division at Sunrise. Kamran Ziaee is leaving Sunrise at the end of July by mutual agreement. Under his direction, Sunrise, the largest private telecommunications provider in Switzerland, chose Huawei as the new technology partner for future investments in mobile and landline network infrastructure.

With the introduction of Stefan Wegener to the management board, Sunrise is also announcing the departure of Andreas Gregori, Chief Commercial Officer Residential (CCO) and member of Sunrise management, who is now leaving Sunrise for family reasons at his own request. With his help, Sunrise successfully launched the new Sunrise TV service.
